Weston Dukes Classic

Through the 1950s the Dukes were a fixture of Toronto's west end junior hockey scene. They finished first overall in 1949-50, and the league's record books list them as its first champion in 1951.  In 1960-61 they went 15-9-4, finished third, and fought their way to the final. After a break from the league, the Dukes came back in 1980 and faced a harder road. The 1982-83 season brought just three wins, but the club rebounded in 1983-84 with a playoff berth. The franchise moved on soon after, becoming the King City Dukes in 1984, but the Weston years are the ones that built the name. Wear the crest of one of the originals.
